Common Integrated Police Application

Project Details

With assistance from Government of India CIPA (Common Integrated Police Application) software project is being executed in phased manner.

In the first phase 10% police stations of Madhya Pradesh will be computerized. The hardware for the Police Stations is expected to reach there by the end of this year. Police Stations of district Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur are selected for that. Total 92 police stations are covered in first phase.

In the second phase another 30% are expected to be covered. In this phase remaining Police Stations of above four districts and select Police Stations of Ujjain, Morena, Hoshangabad, Rewa, Chhindwara, Ratlam, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Khargone, Shahdol, Balaghat are being selected. Total 282 police stations are being covered in this phase.

Under the scheme, each Police Station would be receiving 01 Server and 03 to 05 Nodes with Printers, Scanner, UPS and Furniture etc.

All the districts SP’s have been instructed to keep the site ready with three phase electricity connection with good earthing. Each police station is to be provided at least two Constables trained in computer operations. District SP’s are to select Constables, get them trained at RCTC (Range Computer Training Centers), Training institutes of Madhya Pradesh Police or at SCRB.

The software for Police Stations is being prepared by National Informatics Center of Government of India.

CIPA is targeted to be the comprehensive police station level Crime-Criminal data software. It would automatically generate all the registers and records being kept in the Police Station. It would also prepare all necessary periodical statements.
